Claire Armstrong , LAWYER
Claire Armstrong joined Pettit and Company as an articled student in 2017 after obtaining her law degree from Thompson Rivers University.  Before going to law school, Claire attended the University of Toronto where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Geography (Hons). 

While at law school, Claire actively worked to develop her advocacy skills.  She joined the Oral Advocacy Club, where she participated in voluntary moot court competitions, and competed in both TRU Law’s  and UBC’s annual Environmental Negotiation Tournaments. Claire also participated in TRU Law’s Free Community Legal Clinic where she conducted research, provided legal advice and drafted legal documents for numerous clients. 

Since joining Pettit and Company, Claire has focused on civil litigation, primarily in the area of personal injury and insurance defence.  She has also provided assistance to senior counsel in the firm in the areas of contract law and creditors’ remedies.  

In her spare time, Claire enjoys getting reacquainted with her hometown of Vancouver.  She particularly enjoys exploring the City’s various bike paths and attending as many concerts as possible.
